~ William Shakespeare (Hamlet) Welcome to B I D A T
web site! This is an ad-hoc web site created mainly for fun – most probably
to be viewed by our families and (e-)friends. The word "Bidat" was derived
from Bidayuh Biatah language, which means, “monitor lizard”. Our friend, Sama Koko a.k.a. Bai Konur, suggests that we should change the name to Bidayuh Information Development And Technology (B I D A T). Well, thanks to him for the suggestion. We would like to change the name in the future once our web site becomes more established on the Net. (C.O.O.’s note on October 14, 2000: We have changed the name, following Sama Koko’s suggestion). Just like any other organizations around the globe, we do have our own slogan. Our slogan for this web site is “Where silly ideas really work”. Our work is much inspired by the work of Thomas Alva Edison, the inventor of light bulb. Through his silly ideas, persistent, and hard work in his Menlo Park lab, we are now enjoying the light even in nighttime! In this context, the current result on what we have presented in this web site was made through collaboration of pooled talented Bidayuhs. We firmly believe that only through inter-networking (or “Internet” for short) that we could achieve our dream to be amateur (then, professional) web designers. For the time being, we would likely not to make any profits, as we are about to enjoy our work and at the same time learn something useful from our mistakes. We are adhere to Sama Koko’s philosophy, where “any information is an information”. That’s what we are trying to do, i.e. to make IT more accessible and fun! In addition, our vision is very simple – we would like to be known as one of the pioneers in Bidayuh graphic animation, and at the same time provides entertainment and education to the cyber Bidayuh community and the world. To achieve this vision, we would try our very best to pool other talented Bidayuhs to participate actively in our upcoming e-projects (if any). However, it's a kind of how we maintain the “rapport” thing. Before you move on, we would like to wish you
"". By the
way, we would like to announce that we are not keen to keep a Guestbook,
as we are not keen to keep any of the unrelevant ^Au Oh^ & Have N'ice Bidat Day! Thank you and best regards,
